Remote Support

Thirsk Home IT Solutions now has the ability to provide many of our services remotely. A broadband connection is required for this service.

 

We use TeamViewer to provide Remote Support to our customers. This allows us to remotely control any computer as though we were right in front of it – even through firewalls. All we need is for you to run a small application, which does not require installation or administrative rights. TeamViewer is a very secure remote support solution which uses secure data channels with key exchange and AES (256 Bit) session encoding, the same security standard used by https/SSL.

 

How does this service work?

 

·         Contact us by telephone or email and we will agree if the problem can be fixed remotely. An appointment date and time is agreed.

 

·         We will then call you back on the agreed date and time and guide you through the initial setup process.

 

·         Read and digitally sign our Remote Terms and Conditions.

 

·        Pay upfront for 1 hours service using our secure payment facility provided by PayPal (No PayPal account required) using a debit or credit card.

  

·         We will connect and fix the issue(s).

 

·         We send you an invoice\receipt. Any additional time is added and billed for. 

 

If we are unable to fix your PC remotely, we will arrange to either collect the computer from you, or perform the repair at home at your earliest convenience. Extra time will be charged at the standard hourly rate. If this is not possible due to distance a full refund will be issued.
